Chez Nous Waterfront Cottage

A little piece of Provence on the waterfront. A two bedroom 2 bathroom cottage in peaceful Neverfail Bay, approximately 15 minutes by boat from the public wharf at Berowra Waters (and 10 minutes by boat to Berowra Waters Inn), offering self catering luxury accommodation for one or two couples.




Picture this: You escape your busy week on Friday afternoon (morning if you are lucky) and head down to the public wharf at Berowra Waters where you are met by your host to transport you to Chez Nous. Even before you arrive at the cottage, you feel the stresses starting to lessen. After settling in, you are left to your own devices, knowing that you have the whole weekend ahead. Before long, you are dangling your feet in at the end of the pontoon, glass of wine in hand. After dinner, you decide to have a long leisurely bath, candles giving a nice glow to the luxurious wet room.
It doesn't take much to begin the journey of feeling drowsy and you decide which bedroom to make your own for the weekend.

In the morning, whilst preparing breakfast, you gaze out the French windows and watch the day trippers heading out for the day. You take to the balcony upstairs and enjoy reading a French newspaper whilst munching on a croissant. As the sun starts to rise above the hill, you feel its warmth and decide to take a dip in the wet edged pool fronting the river. You pause to watch the sea planes and wonder at the view. What to do for lunch? Why not visit the iconic restaurant Berowra Waters Inn, or you could take off in the boat and head up to Peat's Bite (15 minutes by boat) or be lazy and enjoy a casual lunch sitting on the waterfront deck.
As the afternoon progresses, you make your way to the armchair in the main bedroom with water views from 3 windows to read your book or browse through Delicious magazines. Before long you are nodding off; relaxing can be so tiring! You wake to find your partner greeting you with an ice bucket, chilling champagne, and you sit watching the changing scenes of the river. The only sounds to interrupt the peace are the champagne cork popping and the fish jumping.
What to have for dinner? You may choose to visit Berowra Waters Inn in the evening and enjoy the river at night time, or why not be decadent and have a chef come and prepare dinner for you? Our local chef Manny of Secret Dining can prepare something special for you. You may wish to go informal and have fish and chips back at Berowra Waters Marina or dine at the Waterview Restaurant. You may even choose to create something in the fully equipped kitchen or enjoy a simple BBQ. .





Day 2 sees you being more adventurous. You decide to take the boat and pack a picnic, heading out to one of the secluded beaches close by. By lunch time you are planning your next visit to Chez Nous. Chez Nous has become Chez Vous. You are amazed at how quickly the stresses of your busy lifestyle have been washed away; content in the knowledge that you can check out as late as you wish, ready to face Monday morning, having extended your weekend away.
