Narrow Neck House- Modern escape in the Blue Moutains

Nestled gracefully amongst the trees and bush of the Blue Mountains sits Narrow Neck House, the modern escape in the heart of the world heritage listed area. Surrounded by nature and wildlife, whatever your purpose for travel may be, peace and serenity will find you throughout your stay. Unobstructed views across the reserve and on to the tops of the escarpment are drawn in through the front windows of the house and met with the beautiful vision of flowers and trees flowing in from the back garden, leaving you feeling fully immersed in the beauty of nature.

Upstairs there are three bedrooms, each with a queen bed and the master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. Downstairs you will find a triple bunk with a single and a double sized mattress.


The Space
Designed for those who love to entertain, the house is perfect for groups or families, with the kitchen taking pride of place. Share a conversation and a glass of wine as you prepare dinner before moving to the dining table or outside to enjoy amongst the calls of birds and wildlife. After dinner retreat to the living room as the children relax and play games in reading room, or just all gather outside on the benches.
A morning coffee on the veranda is often shared with the King Parrots, Crimson Rosella's and countless other birds of the area, a treat for young and old.
Whether you're on a summer hiking trip with friends, or the children's first experience of snow, ducted heating throughout ensures your stay remains comfortable year round. Or fire up the wood burner and toast those frozen toes in winter.

The area
You'll be staying in one of the quietest areas of Katoomba, where very few cars pass, offering that peace and quiet we all deserve and crave. Take a peaceful stroll around the reserve in front of the house or wander down the road to Narrow Neck Lookout or Cahill's lookout and just sit back and take in the wonder of the mountains. For those looking for more adventure there are many bushwalks and more within walking distance from the house or a three minute drive brings you to the famous Scenic World and the Three Sisters at Echo Point.

Heating:
We have central heating for the house

Winter is the most popular season in the mountains. Many people love fireplace and firewood. We have prepared reasonable amount of firewood for you to enjoy during the winter months from June to August. Based on our experience, the amount of firewood should be sufficient to get you start for your stay. If you need more firewood, you can easily buy them from the nearby petrol station. To protect our environment, please consume firewood responsibly.



Cooling:
There is no air-conditioning in this property. The temperature in the Blue Mountains is usually 5~10 degree lower than Sydney metropolitan area. If you open the windows, you can catch lovely breezes in the mountains.
