Visit the Balmain Market on weekends for handicrafts and organic goods and venture north or east to relax at waterside parks.

The Balmain Wharf ferry terminal is about 600 metres away and has regular ferries to Circular Quay and Darling Harbour. There are multiple bus stops along Darling Street with the line 442 servicing the surrounding suburbs and accessing the Sydney CBD in about 25 minutes.
