Nestled among spotted gums, enjoy the tranquil Pittwater views from the rooms and verandahs of our Barrenjoey house, opposite the verdant forests of Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park.

Summer or winter retreat

Great for the long hot summers, the house is just a few minutes drive or cycle to Sydney’s most iconic northern beaches of Palm Beach, Whale Beach & Avalon. Water activities are limitless here: with swimming, paddleboarding, surfing, fishing, & sailing, just to name a few.

As a winter retreat, Treehouse Palm Beach offers the same tranquil Pittwater backdrop & is handy to many scenic walks, & the same boating & fishing opportunities. You may like to take a ferry ride to the central coast from the Palm Beach terminal, sample the great cuisine offered in the range of local eateries or keep warm and toasty at the Treehouse, entertaining friends with a roaring fire in its welcome open fireplace.

The rear of our property backs onto the impressive McKay Reserve with its rocky outcrops and majestic vista. This native bushland offers walking tracks & is a sanctuary for local wildlife & flora.

Close to three of Sydney's most beautiful beaches, with its peaceful Pittwater setting there is time to explore the rich treasures of this picturesque setting, whether its the surf or the bay, or their perimeters.

Food may be as simple as Palm Beach's famous hamburger or fish & chip shops across from the ferry terminal, or the more tantalising cuisines offered in the many popular Northern Beaches cafes & restaurants.

Minutes from our home is the award winning Jonah's Restaurant, The Boathouse Palm Beach, Moby Dick's Whale Beach, Dunes and Barrenjoey House, all foci for fashionable wedding receptions.

Accommodation

Generous four bedrooms that sleep 8-10 people. Children and couples welcome.

Downstairs
Bedroom 1: the main bedroom has a queen size ensemble
Bedroom 2: two single ensembles that can be zipped together to form a king size bed for couples.
Bedroom 3: a trio bunk with a single & double bed
Bathroom 1: shower & toilet

Upstairs
Bedroom 4: a trio bunk with a single & double bed
Bathroom 2: bath, shower & toilet
Kitchen: fully equipped with Ilvey stove, & Miele washing machine
Dining room
Three generous sitting and living areas

Linen is provided at a discounted rate per booking (for max. 10 guests), & shows up as part of the cleaning fee. BYO beach towels.

Bookings which include only Friday or Saturday night will still incur the total weekend rate, ie that is for both nights.
Minimum stay is 2 nights. Exceptions are:
Easter - 4 nights
Long weekends - 3 nights
Peak season (Dec/Jan school holidays) - 7 nights

No Schoolies or wholly teenage groups.

Please note our shared driveway, as with many Barrenjoey homes, is somewhat steep & our double carport has a defined turning circle. Instructions will be supplied to manage this efficiently. Access to the house is via external & internal stairs so those with limited mobility should be aware. There are two flights of stairs with a slightly rising path between up to the first verandah.

We think we are the bees knees! We have just started a single hive so that in the future you may get to sample our local grown honey. This is located at the rear of the property away from foot traffic. Bee ware if you are Anaphylactic to bee stings, you should keep to the front garden and house, not the rear of property
