Boomerang Throwing At La Perouse

Laddie Timbery has a long association with the La Perouse area, being from the Bidjigal clan in the Eora Nation - the area now known as Sydney City and its southern area. On Sundays, Laddie is at La Perouse to demonstrate boomerang throwing and clap sticks and gives a personal history of Aboriginal Australia. In particular, Laddie demonstrates the "Mangrove" - the original returning boomerang - local to La Perouse, Botany Bay and the South Coast of NSW. Locally made boomerangs and other authentic aboriginal products are for sale. Laddie Timbery also has a retail outlet at Huskisson on the South Coast of NSW. Laddie Timbery Aboriginal Art and Crafts is located at the Lady Denman Museum.
