Trainworks

Trainworks is located in Thirlmere, just over an hour from Sydney. It is the home of Australia's newest and biggest rail experience. Trainworks has the most complete overview of railway heritage to be found in Australia. There are over 40 locomotives and 80 carriages on display, dating from 1865, plus a comprehensive exhibition of railway items and memorabilia, a signals display, an authentic fettler's shed, and a heritage-listed 1880s railway station. Steam train rides from Thirlmere to Buxton on every Sunday between March and November.
