The Circle Retreat Studio at Bilgola Avalon

Our self contained studio is ideal for a couple looking for a quiet escape. Close to Pittwater Peninsula's fabulous attractions: Palm Beach, Whale Beach and Pittwater with the convenience of Avalon Village a short drive away.

ACCOMMODATION

The Circle Retreat studio is part of our own home yet offers complete privacy with a separate entrance and dedicated facilities. We are close at hand to assist with any enquiries or requests, yet we are also mindful or your need for privacy and we ensure that this is guaranteed. The studio opens onto a terrace which overlooks the garden with a backdrop to Pittwater and Ku-ring-gai National Park.

The studio sleeps two adults in a king-size latex bed. The property is generally not suitable for children below school age. Reverse cycle airconditioning and a stand-alone heater provide year-round comfort.

The studio has a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, convection/microwave oven, stove top, Ceasarstone benchtops, glass splashbacks and a pullout pantry stocked with quality teas, coffees and cooking essentials.

An ensuite bathroom features a rain-head shower, and porcelain basin and wall-hung toilet. Adjoining the ensuite is a dressing room with generous storage space and large wall mirror.

MINIMUM NIGHTS
We have a minimum stay of 2 nights during the week and on weekends with 3-night or 4-night minimums set for long weekends, Christmas and New Year periods.

NO SMOKING & QUIET USE
Please note that we have a NO SMOKING policy throughout our property, [ie, all inside and outside areas] and that we promote the accommodation as a quiet retreat, asking that guests be considerate and respectful of our neighbourhood and ensure that their access to and from the Studio, and the use of outdoor spaces is conducted quietly. Please refer to the House Rules for further information.

LOCATION
Located in one of Bilgola Plateau's loveliest streets, there are ample opportunities for walks which take in the surrounding views to the beaches and ocean in the east, or views to Pittwater and Ku-ring-gai National Park in the west. A local deli serving great coffee and food, a well-stocked, modern IGA supermarket, a wine store and organic food shop are within easy reach of The Circle Retreat.

Close by is Angophora Reserve, an ancient volcanic caldera densely forested with coastal rainforest. It is one of the oldest and most untouched wilderness reserves within Sydney, home to sugar glider possums, koalas, bandicoots and... peacocks - a legacy of the affluent city-dwellers who built sprawling holiday estates in Ruskins Rowe, bordering Angophora Reserve, at the base of the valley.

A few minutes drive away is the village of Avalon - well serviced with many cafes, small restaurants, a great little independent cinema which screens major and fringe films, boutique clothing and homeware stores, beauticians, spa treatments, a Woolworths supermarket, major banks, post office, service station and a modern community centre which hosts yoga, pilates and frequent art exhibitions.

Bilgola Beach is our closest ocean beach - a ten minute walk down hill from the studio,[but probably a thirty minute walk back up!]. Bilgola Beach is small and friendly, with mostly local families using the ocean pool or grabbing a coffee or icecream at Zubi cafe, right on the edge of the sand. It's worthwhile remembering that all beach carparks in Pittwater require a parking ticket to be bought and displayed.

On the Pittwater [estuary] side is the lovely Clareville Beach, just several minutes drive down the Plateau from our studio. A broad, sandy beach laps upto grassy areas shaded by tall trees. The sunsets are spectacular, as the sun dips over the hills of the Ku-ring-gai National Park on the western side of Pittwater. A perfect spot for a picnic, a bbq or just a glass of wine. Clareville Kiosk provides an elegant lunch and dinner service from an historic cottage.
